The Yomba Shoshone Tribal Administration was developed by the Yomba Shoshone Strategic Planning Committee. Director positions were appointed and approved by the Yomba Shoshone Tribal Council on March 13, 2026 under Resolution No. YST-16-26.
The Yomba Shoshone Tribal Council seated on March 13, 2026 is the constitutional seated governing body of the Yomba Shoshone Tribe, organized under the Constitution and Bylaws approved December 20, 1939 and amended August 4, 2014. Each seat on the Council is documented by certified election results or by Council resolution, and every Director herein holds an appointment made by Council vote and recorded in the Tribal Resolution Record.

The Tribe conducts business via email and does not maintain a general telephone line. Copies of the resolutions and election certifications supporting the authority described here are available upon request.

Educational Services
The Yomba Shoshone Tribe offers Educational Programs to Yomba Shoshone K-12 youth living on the Yomba Shoshone Indian Reservation, including After School Programming and Tutoring Services.

Justice & Law Enforcement Services
While the Yomba Shoshone Tribal Administration is working hard to restore the Yomba Shoshone Tribal Court System and Tribal Law Enforcement. , the Yomba Shoshone Tribe does not have an active Tribal Police Department or a dedicated on reservation law enforcement presence. If you need police assistance or response, authority depends on the nature of the situation and who is involved.
For active threats to life, safety, or property, call 911 immediately.
For Crimes involving Non Indians, call the Nye County Sheriff.

For Minor Crimes involving Tribal Members, primary law enforcement is the BIA Office of Justice Services
Major Crimes involving Tribal Members, fall under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and FBI. Major felonies fall under federal jurisdiction under the Major Crimes ACT

Cultural Services

Health & Wellness
The Yomba Shoshone Tribe is working hard to bring back the Community Health Representative (CHR) Program and to expand medical services for the Yomba Shoshone Tribe. Currently, the Yomba Shoshone Interim Director is working with the Fallon Tribal Health Center to coordinate regularly scheduled visit with their mobile clinic.

Elders Energy Assistance Program
The Yomba Shoshone Tribe is working with Nevada Gold Mines to provide energy assistance to elders age 55 or older with homes located within the boundaries of the Yomba Shoshone Indian Reservation. Please read the guidance letter to understand how you may qualify.
